PROJECT
WWTG provided the
critical middleware infrastructure as part of
Honeywell's team for NASA's ST-8 plans to flight
validate next-generation space based, high
throughput computing systems. This development
provides a new level of on-board computing with
reconfigurable computing capability opening the
door for previously unrealizable missions. The
team has proposed a blend of technologies to
develop high performance computing systems,
meeting the reliability demanded for space
applications and address radiation effects (SEU
and total dose). WWTG’s middleware offers the
scalability and fault tolerance features in
providing a COTS-based high throughput computing
system that is able to evolve and adapt with new
technologies.
