PROJECT
Middleware services for portable avionics
software was developed to facilitate re-use of avionics applications
from platform to platform, meets stringent real-time performance
requirements and incorporates standardized interfaces and services.
This approach provides methods for efficiently integrating
standardized services into an environment (e.g. avionics) while
maintaining high levels of quality of service, performance and
determinism. The Publish/Subscribe paradigm fits well with the data
distribution patterns typically found in avionics systems and has
great potential for increasing application portability and system
flexibility by decoupling the systems data producers and consumers.
