PROJECT
WWTG completed a Phase II SBIR project for
the design of a Scalable Fault Tolerant System Architecture. The
approach will use heterogeneous components based on COTS technology
in order to provide lower cost and easier insertion of commercial
technology. An integrated system design approach was developed to
consider the important aspects for scalable fault tolerant computing
including multi-cluster and system-of-systems with up to a thousand
computing nodes. Results of this project were successfully
transitioned by WWTG in the design of the x-by-wire architecture for
the Virginia Class Submarine Ship Control System.
